I’ve been a few times,
I won the open on wood lake last sunday with 30lb, it fished rock hard for some reason.
Summer in general on wood there are some obvious fliers next to a bridge, some obvious island pegs and obvious inside pegs. Also catch shallow in the wider pegs.
Only problem is its ABSOLUTELY rammed with mini silvers and gudgeon so you need to fish hard banded pellets or big expanders and decent lumps of meat or your float just vibrates all day!!
Some big fish in it though
Are you fishing the Easter festival by any chance..?
target on Wood lake is 70lb to win generally made up of either 2-4lb mirrors or 1lb F1s with a few bream and stuff
Pans lake if it warms up like it currently is doing, look for possibly 100lb made up of about 40-60 fish

tournament_proPans lake is a snake and is my fave look, its solid with mirrors from 8oz to 3lb they got 200lb in summer on top kit!
12.5-14m wide and NO SILVERS 🙂
Its a bit like cedar only its bright green colour which looks a bit weird at first

1st 44lb 10oz Peg 1 Meat
2nd 44lb 5oz Peg 9 Pellet
3rd 43lb 10oz Peg 23 Pellet
4th 43lb 3oz Peg 8 MaggotSunday on Wood (approx)fished poor
1st 26lb Peg 19
2nd 21lb Peg 15Thursday on Pans Lake
1st 44lb Peg 9 Pellet
2nd 38lb Peg 13 Pellet
3rd 31lb Peg 23 PelletMuch as Tourny Pro Says
Wood approach is different by peg as each has different features. But can be won from many of the pegs Most consistent 13, 15, 18, 5. Pans is uniform Snake Lake in April your fishing on far shelf with Pellet in the main but Meat has its day. Peg 9 is the flier Most consistent pegs 8-15 but depending on the wind can be won from various pegs.
Hope this helps

31lb (these arent totally accurate as I wasnt paying attention)I won wood with 77lb peg 22,
54lb peg 18 2nd
52lb peg 4 3rdIt fished well first half of match then sun came out with a vengence and everything started swimming round 6″ deep not feeding. I was on for 120-130lb no problem F1s were crawling up my pole at one stage.
Cant believe am complaining about the sun after what we’ve had for last 4 month! lol

Mattie73Wood fished much better then! Peg 4 and 22 have shown no form for a long while. Warm wind blowing into that corner? With some consistent weather should continue to improve. Well done on the win hope you haven’t peaked to early lol.

tournament_proWood fished miles better, everyone was into fish from the off where-as last week everyone was looking round wondering what was going on.
any of the wider pegs there were a lot of fish moving about.
Na not peaked too early, am just getting woken from the winter slumber. ha ha
Nice win at tunnel barn on sat with 130lb, that place is crazy. I think 10 from 30 broke 80lb and the weather was rank
