TF_justin caseThis is obviously some kind of a windup
why change the rules so late in the day other than to swing the match in the favour of the locals,
I have already bought all my bait as I was leaving in the morning, I think its a discgrace and the rules that were in place at the time the venue was announced should stand
Some of the pools from what I understand are of unknown quantity and those that are not in the know will need everything to enable a change if its not happening for them, all this will do is ensure anglers with good local knowledge will have more chance to qualify.

TF_MarkTWhat a well thought out decision, the reputation of the fishery will take some hammering after this.

trickyIf it’s any consulation I will suggest to them that these new Match Rules do not come into effect until after the Fish O on Saturday.
I am of the same opinion it seems unfair to move the goalposts 2 days before this match.
So give me a chance before we all go slagging of the fishery!!!Justin Case if you want any info PM me and I will try to help you out.

TF_justin caseDue to the distance I need to leave in the morning i couldnt do it on the day its too far
You know most anglers dont mind bait limits or even rule changes we all understand about fish welfare and the preservation of water quality,
but what doesnt stack up here is why such a drastic reduction from relativly no limits to 4 pints is pure madness especially when the pegging is going to be so reasonable 4 pints max is an incredibly small limit and those that are not familiar with the venue have just had there chances reduced to zero,
1 gallon would be more realistic and if need be limit any 1 bait to a maximum its almost like this hasnt been thought through or the rules have been applied by a non angler. maybe im wrong maybe im spitting my dummy here but I dare say when daylight arrives and a few get on this forum there is going to be a lot of disapointed anglers that will be considering weather to make the long drive or not with such limited chances

TF_DocTricky,
i had to check the date in my diary, just to make sure its not the first of April … and its not.Im not fishing the fisho match, but what right minded fishery owner would change his bait limits the day before what is liable to be the biggest/most important match held on the venue this year !!!
There will be guys travelling from all around the country to this match, and if they havent read your post they will be unaware of this rule change … go on tell us its a wind up ??
If not, those who choose to fish the match might find they have plenty of space ….

trickyThe new Bait Limit Rules DO NOT come into force until Sunday 30/5/10 and therefore do not affect the Fish O match tomorrow 29/5/10.

TF_Nigel.Phew, glad that’s cleared up.
I have just loaded up 2 kilo GB, 3 kilo worms, 5 pints casters, 1/2 pint maggots, 8 pints of 6mm pellets, 8 pints of 4mm pellets, 5 tins meat and 5 tins of corn.
I have a large sensas bucket full, i didnt use a pint it total at each of my last 3 matches, i aint chucking in expensive bait if i dont need to, it will go with me to the next match too!

AnonymousThere have been bait restrictions in place for matches at Partridge for a very long time! Just check the board as you come on to the fishery by Gold lake. A few will be shocked at the casters bait limit (3 pints). Im pleased that the bait limits have been opened up for tomorrow. Thats a very good move by the fishery!
