TF_DaveDJohn,
Lots of little stockies in Ribbon – feed micros and 4mm expander on the hook up the far shelf. There are also a few larger F1’s and mirrors which come in and out of the swim but it’s hard to keep them going because of the amount of stockies in there. There are thousands of Ide to be had on maggot but you won’t win a match on them.
With regards to Fisho, they have just changed the pegging again. It’s now as follows:
Covey 1, 2 ,3 & 4 – 15 Pegs on Each
Mainly stockies around the 1lb mark – odd fish up to 2lbWillow – 10 Pegs
Chub to 5lb, Carp to double figuresSpey – 10 Pegs
Marsh – 10 Pegs
Pine – 10 Pegs
All above are full of stockies with odd bonus F1’s, carp & chubHolbar 1 & 2 – 15 Pegs on Each
Mainly Carp 6lb – 15lb but also lots of stockies and small Chub.I’ve got a ticket as well and up to the inclusion of Willow & Sundays match on Pine, I thought that one of the Holbars would win it easily…i honestly don’t know where the winner will come from now????….~think

TF_youngytalking to a few lads last thursday and they think that Spey will be the winner. Win only around 50 lb winning the match.

TF_DaveDYoungy,
It’s hard to say where the winner would come from but i think you will need more than 50lb mate.
87lb came off Pine on Sunday with 65lb 2nd, 58lb 3rd. Most pegs were in as well so with only 10 pegs, it could be even more.
On Spey on Tuesday, all pegs were in and 66lb won it.
I fished Holbar last week and in 3 hours, had 8 fish in double figures and a few smaller F1’s.
If someone lands on the fish in Willow, 100lb + is achievable
The only thing i am certain of is that Covey won’t win it…i can’t wait to see what the outcome will be. Have you got a ticket??

TF_mauler7Is it the method on holbar for the bigger fish?

AnonymousThe winner of the Fisho will be on Holbar 2 IMHO. Its stuffed full of big carp and it has never been hammered by match anglers. Also, you get loads of space between pegs on this lake. I cannot see why it will not win with a very big weight. IMHO, it should not be in the fisho as it should totally dominate the match. If a reasonable match angler gets on the fish and finds the method quickly. I will expect 200lb plus to win but 300lb plus a real possibility. Its that good! I,ve fished it a few times and caught 40 plus carp from it in 5 hours with carp to just over 15lb on paste but as suggested the method feeder does work. Im also sure the pellet waggler will work well in the open water. It really is stuffed with big fish that have never been hammered. Even if it fishes hard. Only 12-15 fish will be enough to produce a 100lb plus winning weight. I cannot see any of the other pools competing with only a low 100lb weight expected from any of the other pools at best.
