need to get a wine pump and a couple of stoppers, can get these fro john lewis, then get on of plastic lock and stop containers from Morrissons or asda etc , hole in the middle of the container and away you go , they work great cost around £9.50.

the pump is made by Vacuvin i think you can get them on the internet may need to do a search. good luck with this, they are better than the ones you can buy and you can make different sizes.

                        The Vacunin pump,rubber grommet,needs a 19mm hole to fit,for it to work properly…..

                        How do I know ?…..

I made one about 18 months ago,and found the Aladin airtight range of containers spot on…..

If any of you have a local JTF wholesaler, the containers are cheaper still, making the overall cost less…..

                        davenfish,

If the conainer caves in,try a different make..

I have also gota container, with the three clips on,and it is solid…..

I recall paying about a quid for it………

Just a thought….. could you not just buy one of the Vacunin pumps, complete with base, lid, etc, from Amazon for under a tenna?

Like I say, just a thought!

for those living in the manachester area, you can get a pump and two grommets from housing units of hollinwood £6,50, the containers i got from Morrisons are spot on.
also great for keeping casters fresh!
