        Does anyone know if there are any stores with an alley anywhere near London….?

            wickford angling have all their poles set up, they have most of the top and mid range poles on display

              I would phone them first to see if what you want is in stock – not much on display when I went there recently.

                  I would phone them first to see if what you want is in stock – not much on display when I went there recently.

                  They had everything i was interested in, although i am not sure what pole the poster is looking for. They do have a pole alley and are happy for you to look at the poles as well as being very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

                    Thanks Alex, I’ll ring them beforehand, looking on their website it looks as though they have an extensive range of Preston poles and I am thinking about a GXR 2001 or the Whisker all terrain. Just need to bounce them both around on me knee….

                      I ended up buying a pole from wickford after trying to find a pole alley in the south east.
                      I dealt with ron in the shop who was very helpfull.I ended up buying a different pole to the one i was interested in after ron let me set up as many poles as he had in my price range.

                          Direct tackle waltham cross have a useful pole alley everything from top of the range diawa’s map preston and maybe a few more I havern’t mentioned

                            dont think you will find many shops with stocks of poles now. Wickford is near me but dont keep the stock the used to as people just use them as a showroom. they will spend an hour trying the poles and then go off and buy from someone else mail order. Best way ive found is when you see a pole being used on a match than ask for a wiggle.
