TF_bartezParticipanti have an aspire pro and chose it over every thing whats on the market.the finish has to be better than anything i have used ie torny pro preston g10 maver n57 ive had them all and this pro is the best ive used to date ive had no problems with the joints coming undone, its stiff, strong and slim and for the price climax have them on offer you can buy two and never need a spare again,2 years guarnteed and the best back up service there is,if you want spares then the torny pro top 3 fits. there on offer at £1249 while stocks last.

TF_Mr Whippybartez, do you know if the aspire pro is off the same mandrel as my beloved aspire ax competition?

TF_bartezParticipantmr whippy i can tell you that in the shimano brochure it states that these two poles have been made on the same mandrell but i dont think the original aspire is the same but the pro and the ax are.

matchman1The think the Aspire was the orginal , followed by the Aspire AX and then the top end is the Aspire Pro,this is being replaced with Aspire Pro BX? i have two Pros, one being the original prototype, they are excellant and can really be fished at 16m, if you have the two the butt sections are parallel so you can get 17.5m if you can hold it!!!! The price on climax is fantastic and comes with a good spares kit. As Peter said the spares are expensive.

TF_fred van den feederthanks for the info. looks like no one here has any problem with the Aspire Pro. I have two old whisker poles right now and have been dreaming about a tornament pro for some while, i think the top ends from the whisker fits the tornament pro. and i got about 15 top ends for the whisker so it would be handy. but after all the problems people have hade with the torny pro im not too sure what to do. I will take a look at some poles this weekend and then deside what to do. what about the carbolino G10? anyone?

TF_mart4666fred, buy the tournie mate, still the most sought after pole buy far, ask any tackle dealer, the garbo g10 is nice , stiffer than tournie, i had chance to buy one at good price brand new and chose more expensive tournie to replace a g995 garbo. and am glad i did its a lovely pole. as for the cheap pro aspires at climax, one question, if they are so good and im sure they are very good, then why so cheap, its half the ssp????//
and how can shimano justify such xpensive top kits, you’ve already got loads of tops to fit a tournie. i got aa great deal on generic tmk3 top3’s when i got my tournie, i payed £35 each. shop around and ask for discount on spares if you purchase a pole package.
YOU NEVER GET IF YOU DONT ASK???? -

TF_bartezParticipantthats right fred go and buy the pro the one with the bad finish, whats not as stiff and the joints come undone, the one which had loads of people complaining about last week with broken sec joints coming undone sticking in your hands a waiting list of people wanting one, spares have also go a waiting list oh yes as one person said on here there teething problems,i have had one for over a year and was glade to see the back of it,over rated.
