TF_matchaceBROWNING MATE there range is fantastic
also the top kits fit others poles in case you ever break one
also your section are interchangeable
and they also fit the margin pole
an excellent all round package no matter what pole you buy from browning -

TF_matchacethe Z12 is a true 16 metre pole unlike the others
the first on the market and still going strong
get your tape measure out you wil be amazed at what lengths some poles are -

TF_paulnewellThere are more true 16m poles on the market today . Best bet try them all at Fosters in BHam or any shop that has them set up . Buy a model of proven reliability . One that’s been around for a year or more . Ask yourself if you want it for carp hauling or only Ocasionaly because the lighter ones will break .

TF_gixer1Hi mate, got a PRO 2 myself, can’t fault it, quality throughout the entire package, not too stiff and IMO the strongest top end pole on the market, also spares are available and reasonably priced, but before buying I would still go and have a waggle with one to see if it suits you. 🙂 😉

04/08/2014 at 6:08 pm #172778
TF_paulnewellWhen you sit down and strike a bite it’s very doubtfull you will not be impressed with all the poles around 2.000 £ figure . The ones nearer 3.000£ may not bowl you over so much! The extra money hard to justify for an improvement you can barely feel . The fellow with plenty of spare cash may feel he only wants the lightest and stiffest ! Also it may be he needs to fish at 16 or more metres all day .When you place 13 metres of a whole range of poles costing much less you can barely understand what you are paying for .Add a section to 14 metres and the cheaper poles give up . Add a 16 m butt and a lot of expensive poles still give up . When you go and test your next pole you MUST make sure the top kits on your test model have standard match kits fitted NOT carp tops left on from the chap before .Most carp top kits make a pole feel top heavy and you won’t get a fair comparison . 🙂

04/08/2014 at 6:10 pm #172779
TF_paulnewellIF you need to fish with a budgie fixed on your top kit all day then only the stiffest model really suits .

TF_Terrence22Best advice. Sod what others think! Go to a decent pole alley with a budget in mind. Try various models. Ask questions and then go for what feels best!

05/08/2014 at 4:23 pm #172789
TF_sillysodIf your mainly carping then go for the z10,as opposed to z 12,bit more strength, tri cast I’ve no experience so can’t comment

05/08/2014 at 6:04 pm #172792
TF_gaz rtrilogy pro mate is a great pole, very strong, stiff and very well balanced, not fished with the browning poles, but handled them all, prefered the tricast tbh, the z8 was nice for the money tho.

05/08/2014 at 6:22 pm #172793
TF_matchaceone of our sponsored anglers using the Z12 for carping
it is a myth about breakages balance your pole with the right laggy
and you should not have any problems
i watched him drag out a 12lb carp no problems and i mean drag lol -
05/08/2014 at 7:29 pm #172797

TF_tench0771i was reading a review on the z9 an some one was saying the nce finish wore off in 6 month an the pole had a lot of sag when new it was spose to b poker stiff but all changed after the 6 month !!!!! its a touth one as u never no how true these comments realy r

06/08/2014 at 7:50 am #172771
TF_Time TravellerI’ve been using my Z12 for two and a half years now & 100% confident in what the pole can do. Dragging out lumps from snags or just fishing for skimmers, you just need to get the laggy balanced to the the terminal end and it will perform.
Carp to 18lb on mine and loads of wild doubles, and unlike some poles if you do get a break Browning have their service bang on now…..Oh yes I have broken it, but never on a fish, I do have big boots and use it 3 times a week Winter & Summer !!

TF_joffmiesterNew range of sensas poles are on the way i’d hold off as these pole are pretty good and especially made for sensas from one sole supplier .if you think the 774 is good wait for this beauty plus Sensas have kept the top 5 the same so if you own a sensas pole already your spares will fit upto the top five
This was earlier in the year i’m only just allowed to show these pictures graphics are now in place and field testing completed after couple of years .This pole will be special for sure Sensas have sauced the very best material as you know poles can’t get much better but wait and see 😉 😉

06/08/2014 at 3:31 pm #172818
TF_tench0771b intresting to c the sensas pole! if i rember the 774 was spose to b a nce pole but very short 15 meters once cut bk so i here seems like other makes r now making true 16m poles with wide top kits so no cuting bk is needed hope the senses is following sute
-
07/08/2014 at 9:42 am #172805
TF_joffmiesterSensas very rarely follow they often lead from the front watch this space ! half sections and half butts all came from the sensas stable 😉 😉

TF_matchaceTENCH for your information im a sponsored angler by browning we dont need to BIG
our poles up the rest are copying them enough said on that
the Z9 which i prefer out of the range because i love it
AGAIN the myth about sagging is untrue
you are welcome to borrow my pole to fish with anytime you want
if you come to a venue near yorkshire
in fact i challenge you to come up north and try it
by the way my pole is 2 years old and i just love it
to rubbish a pole with out trying it is foolishness in my book
but hey ho my challenge still stands
and also having be fortunate enough to be sponsored i can assure you BROWNING
have being in the pole making game longer than most
you have tried the rest now buy the best BROWNING -

TF_milliei own a z12 n for carp fishing its awesome,i bought a daiwa air after being a life long daiwa owner n to say it was crap is an understatement,i sold it within 8 weeks of purchasing it.the z12 is a perfectly balanced pole, the strength is awesome.i bought the margin pole too that fits to the 11m section to the z range so now ive a perfect margin pole to 17.5m.ive never really being a fan of slapping my rigs cos i believe they break their backs doing it so now i use my margin pole for that reason cos its more whippy than the original z12 knowing it wont give on me.they say it aint got a good price holder if u decide to sell it but personally if i thought about how much id get for it if i ever sold it i wouldnt buy ANY pole

09/08/2014 at 6:25 am #172821
TF_tench0771will do ha, long sections dont bother me as u can allways have a section behind u if fishing up to islands ect also longh sections make the pole stiffer its defo the way to go when in a match u can ship out faster with a cad pot on so u will save a lot of time an pertenchly catch more fish due to being in the water longer not faffing about werrying about losing half ur pelets shiping out 🙂

TF_GLEBE1Just to clarify Tench, you were originally looking at the Tri Cast but now your going to buy a Browning without seeing or using one on the premise of what a Browning sponsored angler has posted on here?
Pole roulette anyone??

09/08/2014 at 7:31 pm #172830
TF_milliewhy worry about the long sections all manufactures r swaying to the longer sections ,,,the beauty about the z12 the dolly butts fit right from the 5th section to the 17.5m section so you can tailor the pole to suit your needs…………….by the way i aint no browning sponsored angler but was a daiwa sponsored angler for yrs

TF_GLEBE1Sour grapes? I don’t think so, I just find it quite amusing that you ram your sponsors name down everyone’s throat whenever you get the chance.
Something that high profile sponsored anglers rarely do… -

TF_joffmiesterNow Now !!
yes this question is a minefield everyone has a personal choice of which every make will have it’s own followers its almost regional . I rarely post about poles for this reason and i posted because of our new range of poles coming out simply to let you know that technology has moved on . Anglers say it can’t get much better with poles but then again we say that about most items .i also hear anglers saying all poles come from only two manufacturers this is simply not true either .Pole technology is a science although most think its designed then painted and put into shops again simply not true .
Most of us are ignorant to the process that goes into the making of these poles and field tested and as soon as we break a section we are first to blame the manufacturers and often its 6 months down the line . if the pole is faulty it will break after your first few outing whether you go once a week or three times a week . each broken section that is returned IS sent back for the manufacturers and faults are corrected 50% are human error without realising at the time how it broke .Sensas, Dawia ,Maver Tricast Browning Map Drennan and all the others will all have their followers and the best way of buying a pole is first talk to the anglers on the bank . Ask if you can have a go if these are sponsored anglers it’s their duty to show you then sort out your price range find out about the spares and how easy they are to get hold of . Make a short list of three you like you would have already seen them on the bank and all would of been well used and all you have to do is make your own personal choice.
The last thing a sponsored angler wants is to fall out on a website 😉 😉 -
12/08/2014 at 12:56 pm #172869
TF_joffmiesterPS you wouldn’t buy a car out of a showroom without first taking it for a drive or buy one because a friend had said its brilliant buy it 😉 😉

TF_wightanglergood post Joff – most of the bollox and rumour off a mates mates mate that gets banded about poles breaking – usually after a not admitted few dinks is mostly to slag off some other pole they wished they’d bought as justification. Not saying all – and clean breaks/manufacturing faults do occasionally occur – but in tiny proportion to the hearsay and myth bollx.

TF_rb211Think at the end of the day as soon as you pick a pole up you know be it Browning Sensas Diawa Maver its the right one for you I have had most brands of poles but the first time I pick up my first Sensas pole up if felt right for me and have brought them every since just got the 974.
I’m sure the sponsored Browning angler is genuine what he says about there poles and would continue to use one if he wasn’t sponsored by them but there again if Diawa came along with a better offer there poles he would say they are the best he would have to.
How many times have you read in Match Fishing or Pole Fishing Magazines when they review a pole they have said its rubbish never be it £200 or £3000 cause they cant.
Like its already been said set your budget go to a shop and try the poles in that price bracket and you will know which one is for you. -

TF_JohnHGreat posts RB and Joff, I have slavishly followed Daiwa and am regretting it now! After posts on here I bought a Tri cast trillogy and it just feels right for me. I never liked the spongy feel to the sections on all my Daiwas but followed everyone else and kept breaking sections.
The trillogy has stood up to everything so far, 16m in the wind yesterday and was superb. It really gives me confidence fishing with it with no spare sections in the bag. I always carried 2 Daiwas just in case.
