Why not cut the elastic in half and then attach fly line backing to it with the loop to loop method. That way you can do 2 topkits with one pack of hollo and it will last you a season at least.

Do what? Do you only get enough for one standard top 2 kit then?

Yes only enough for 1 kit with about 2 foot spare. Right you get elastic out of bag cut in half, put a big loop in 1 end about 6″ then get a length of fly line backing about 4 foot (more than ample) tie the same loop in this at one end then join the two together with loop to loop method, so now this is all one length, then it thread it thru your’e top kit obviously with the elasic coming out of the top piece, attach your’e stonfo or what ever(in my case crows foot). The elastic can’t go back inside the top kit. At the opposite end you will have the flyline hanging out just tie this to your’e storer bung and start to tension it up by wrapping it round the plastic dooda that it has on it. Easy. This way 2 top kits done. I have all mine this way and have never had it break on me yet.
