There are 14 pairs fishing the festival this year and the anglers will once again be taking to the banks of Twin Oaks & Trewaters for the 4-day event.
Day One
There is a random draw today to see which partners in the pairs are fishing on which lake, once this has been done the main draw starts and the anglers find out which peg they will be heading for on day one.
Trewaters Middle Lake
Adam Wakelin was the lake winner on peg 25 with 39lb 5oz, Adam caught on the method feeder with micros and a 6 mil pellet on the hook. Second with 29lb 11oz was Darren Jackson, Darren caught on the method with micros from peg 29. Third on peg 19 was Jay Davis, Jay weighed in with 28lb 11oz caught on the pole with soft pellet and on the method with micros. The next best weight came from Bob Wack on peg 20 with 28lb 6oz.

Adam Wakelin peg 25 39lb 5ozTrewaters Bottom Lake
The winning weight on the lake was 44lb 14oz and this came from Harry Billing on peg 40, Harry caught on the pole. Stuart Taylor was second with 41lb 4oz, Stuart caught on the pole at 13 meters with soft pellet from peg 54. Third on peg 53 was Ben Lord, Ben caught on the method feeder with pellet and weighed in with 39lb 3oz. The next weight came from Austin Williams on peg 37 with 33lb 2oz, Austin caught on the method with pellet.

5th Clive Cole & Tom Cole 10 points 48lb 2ozAfter a mixed day of results no pair starts the festival off on maximum points but it is a close start to the festival, Twin Oaks tomorrow so let’s see how much this bulks up the weights and what the day two scores will be.
Day Two
It was another random draw to decide the lakes the anglers would fish – we have done it this way to shake things up and so that the same 14 anglers are not fishing against each other for the four days.
Twin Oaks High Numbers
Good weights from across the lake today with the results fair across the sections. Taking the lake win with 87lb 5oz was Darren Jackson on peg 17, Darren caught on the method. Austin Williams on peg 16 was second, Austin caught on the waggler and weighed in with 70lb 9oz. On peg 7 Ben Lord was third with 70lb 5oz, Ben caught on the method feeder with micros. Adam Wakelin had the next best weight with 69lb 11oz; Adam was on peg 13 and caught on the method.

There were a few stand out weights on the high numbers but the majority of the pack weighed in the 20 – 30lb bracket making the points tight across the sections. The lake winner today was James Hawkins; James was on peg 32 and caught on the method for a weight of 70lb. Second with 57lb 9oz was Clive Cole, Clive was on peg 30 and caught on the feeder. Stewart Lister on peg 25 was third, Stewart had a few on the method, a few shallow on the pole and some F1’s at 6 meters on the pole for a total weight of 47lb 10oz. The next best weight on the lake was 39lb 5oz and this came from Stuart Taylor on peg 29, Stuart caught on the waggler with 8 mil pellet
