Im a big bloke,hands like shovels etc,i have got a preston one pole,(its my 2nd one over the last 7years,i had a garbo gmaxx1000 in between,which isnt a good pole!!!,my preston ones have been awesome, as stiff as even at 16m and definately fishable all day at 16m,i have had massive weights on it at 16!!, truely one of the best poles out there,i think you could lift a 5lb carp out of the water without breaking it.I would go as far as saying that if you got it,you really wouldnt go to another .It never ever comes apart and goes floating across lakes,the wear on joints is very minimal,and ive never had any joints stick in the rain, Great pole mate.
