It’s unfortunate but the Ultimate tips rods suffer the same fate.

My mates expect to get breakages at least twice through the Winter months. Trouble is we want sensitivity & chucking power especially in Winter, throwing 30grms for 70 yards as well something will give.

Started to check twice now before chucking but will still get breaks….it’s an expensive problem, so your rate of breakage looks OK…… ask if you are using the correct rod for the job?
I use the Maver Reactolite which is a super tip rod, but also have the Preston, each have their own strengths but I make sure one has the heavier tip in if needed it for the longer chuck, it has reduced breakages.

Yes sure is a problem, oh by the way it’s a Preston Absolute, cost an “absolute” arm an leg, but I still break tips…..

“Look Up Before yer Chuck” saves some wrap arounds!!!

Sorry for the breakages, but I don’t think the 10ft Mini is design to chuck 30gr 70yds.

i usly use a quater ounce to a ounce led or a meidum cage feeder i max i chuch maby 30 meters i use the garbo for long chucks i think the carbonactive tips r a bit over priced tho but i luv the rod tips r like £15 😡
