Problems with catapult accuracy

I use the drennan pole pults, used to be able to drop 5 casters around the float no problem at 11-14m. I have recently bought new elastics ( purple ) and new medium pouches ,feed now goes everywhere! I have even bought a brand new one with the same set up and I have the same problem Any ideas???

is the new elastic weeker at all?

It seems a little stronger, the old original elastic was a red colour.The new is purple.

i have the same problem feeding magots on the wag line,you could try puting less force but more hight and do it slowley and controled rather than rushed

Tried that, tried more feed also,it just sprays over a wider area.All I can think is its the elastic.Just ordered some of the red original stuff.Strangely the catapults are ok with pellets.

have you tried using a longer length of elastic? – normally helps with accuracy / grouping etc

No not tried that, funny enough I had shortened the elastics a bit to make it easier to use when holding the pole.

Try some old hollow elastic! something like preston 13h

might be wrong here but if the pouch is plastic moulded mesh look at the piont of the pouch if thats got a flat area it will spread the bait ive droped bait spot on then used a new one which spread its not till i looked at the mould i found they were different
forget the above if the pouch is not the moulded plastic type of catapult

it’s because the purple elastic is stronger than the pink you were using. The range goes from blue (softest), to pink and up to purple. If you revert back to the pink then you’ll be OK. Do NOT shorten it. You’ll only make your particular problem worse. Longer/softer will be more accurate with tiny/light baits.
