          daiwa tdr, or whisker or team daiwa, shimano stradic, shakespeare mach 3, the preston pxr reels….any 4000 size really with a good drag and winding power.

            i have just tried a little known reel called a browning backfire… and found it as good as all but the top end reels(tdr,airity).

            and they are fairly cheap at around £35.

            see if you can find a browning stockist or sponsored angler and have a look.

              I like to use a 2500 size Daiwa Reel for the pellet wag. The TD-R is as good as any!
