reels question?

some anglers say the best reel for waggler fishing is the this that reel, and others say this reel is best for the feeder. Presuming they are fixed spool reels what makes a reel better for the waggler and another better for the feeder when the design of most is very similar to me?

A float fishing reel can (in theory) have a smaller diameter spool and a higher retreive rate than a feeder reel because of the lighter line and less weighty end tackle used. However in practice something like a TDR 3012 will do pretty much any task asked of it in match fishing. When you get to very long range heavy feeder fishing the very large spooled baitrunner type reels are the thing to have in your box.
