        4 Mike Redding 8-6-0 (peg 50)

        Qualifiers:
        Sean Reidy
        Pete Jayes

The Avon roach fed in earnest for this Wednesday qualifier, with the top three anglers all boasting fine nets of redfins.
After a decent start catching perch on the short pole, Gary Seadon was first to catch on peg six, taking several good fish on hemp early on in the match. Later, Sean Reidy on peg seven also started to catch well later however, including some real monster redfins in his catch – fish to over 1lb caught on tares! The result was too close to call, but the scales confirmed Sean had just sneaked the verdict from peg 7 with his 11-11-0 net just beating Gary’s 11-8-0.
In third place was ever consistent Pershore rod, Ian Shepherd, who managed 9-13-0 from peg 65. Like Sean and Gary, Ian’s catch was made up of some perch caught early in the match on the short pole, and hemp roach caught on the long pole later in the day.
