Release from Irish Fly Fair Nov 19th/20th
We are nearly there now, eight days to go until the second Irish Fly Fair 2011 and all exhibition space is sold out completely.
New to the show, will be a “Youth Fly Tying Competition” giving the kids a chance to show the “Pro Fly Dressers” what they can do and encourage our young anglers to learn more about the art of Fly Tying.Great prizes up for grabs!
A host of the world’s greatest fly tyers and Angling celebrities will once again gather at the Galway Bay Hotel, in Salthill to participate in the 2nd Irish Fly Fair and Angling show. Mara Media in association with well known Game Angler, Stevie Munn , Hardy and Greys & APGAI- Ireland Instructor invite you to join us on the 19th & 20th November 2011.Visiting anglers to the show will have the opportunity to see some of the Greatest Fly Dressers from around the world practice their art , while champion fly casters will be available to demonstrate and advise on fly casting techniques and fishing tactics.
The tackle trade will be very well represented at this year’s event .

We welcome back to the show angling celebrities, Hywel Morgan, Glenda Powell, Stevie Munn, Paddy McDonnell , Peter O’Reilly and new to this event Scott MacKenzie, who will be demonstrating and advising on all aspects of fly fishing! We also have tuition from APGAI- Ireland who will give free casting and fly tying lessons during the two day exhibition
Experts from the Inland Fisheries Ireland, The Wild Trout Trust, Dr Ken Whelan and many more will be hosting talks and seminar on various angling related topics.
The Irish Fly Fair and Angling Show will host the largest number of Fly Tyers and trade stands representing15 different countries, under one roof, making this show the biggest event of it’s kind in Ireland
