REPORT
Long Eaton Victoria Angling Society’s 7th Championship Match (for the Richardson Cup) was fished on both Inner and Outer Avons at Dynamite Baits Makins. In the hot and still conditions most fish failed to co-operate, excepting top weight exception and clear winner Jake Hemmings.
Fishing Outer Avon peg 10, Jake caught carp on paste fishing pole to the island early on, then switched to feeder fished back towards the corner to his right for the bulk of his fish. Jake whose carp were mainly in the 2 to 4 lb size bracket but with one fish around 7 lb, ended with 66 lb 6 oz, more than the next two weights added together.
