It’s a 4 lane canal type fishery. 13 – 20m wide to the island that runs down the lanes. You can see this better on Google earth.

It’s mainly carp, mirrors and commons, no F1’s. There are lots of silvers but if match fishing carp will dominate. The carp are now ranging from 4 – 20lbs, mainly about 6lbs.

There is a small shelf up to 1m off the bank dropping down to about 5ft. This goes over to the island bank and is the same.

Its mainly pole fishing just over the shelf at this time of year and across to the rising shelf. Method feeder to the island, fished very tight. Liq. bread, pellet or ground bait.
Down the track on the pole its pellet, corn, paste. In the summer the fish come up the inside shelf and are caught on pellet or paste.
The weight are generally around 100lb with good backing weights.. It can be peggy.

At this time of year its fishing hard if not on fish.

          Day ticket is £8
