Gene Robinson of Raunds-6lb[boat] returned safely
Best Boat catch-Gene Robinson 13 fish to 6lb[all returned]&David Barker of Luton 12 fish to 4/5lb
Best Bank catch-A Babanowski of Northampton 8 fish to 3lb.
The better conditions returned at the latter part of the week with fish moving higher in the water during the day feeding on the prolific damsels hatching out.The banks as well as the boats now catching as the fish move closer to the margins.Reports of a number of very large fish being lost as the results of the stocking of some excellent fish in the 6-7lb range.
Successful patterns this week were damsel nymphs,black buzzers[holographic thorax]PTN.The cooler weather conditions promise excellent sport for the coming week ahead.
Most fish now being caught are 21/2-3lb.
50 anglers caught 78 rainbows with 35 safely returned.
