        Overview
As the weather warmed up this week as anticipated good catches were recorded and many fish are now being taken on the imitative patterns. The fish are feeding well on the natural insect life in the water and the anglers have responded well by taking many fish on buzzer nymph patterns. Some excellent rainbows in the 3-4lb range have again been taken with Harold Pritchett of Mancetter Nr Atherstone returning a rainbow estimated between 8&9lb in his limit bag.Mr Griffin&Mr Freshwater caught 23 rainbows from the boat with the best at 41/4lb.The exceptional catch of the week was taken by regular angler Edward Telfer of Wellingborough with a rainbow in excess of 12lb from the lodge platform bank area on an orange fritz pattern.Edward who attends the fishery with his carer was absolutely delighted with his catch and as a memento will be presented with a photograph to remind him of his achievement.
Prospects for the week ahead look very good with the warmer weather continuing and further weekly stockings to provide good sport for all visitors
