        Hi All
        week 22/10/12 to 28/10/12

Certainly the colder conditions at the latter part of the week kept all but the hardiest anglers away but those that did caught some excellent fish again.Regulars Norman Sketchley from Leicester caught some lovely rainbows to 3lb from the boat on various patterns including red ribbed hares ear and from the lodge bank Lee Skevington from Ringstead caught 5 hard fighting rainbows to 3lb on cats whisker which were returned safely to the water. The bank fishing has picked up and Mr Milne in midweek had 7 rainbows mostly from the lodge bank on lure patterns. The trout are now chasing the fry as well as taking the caddis and small black buzzers on warmer days.A few brown trout also now featuring in catches but these will have to be returned after the end of October as the season for this species ends.
Tactics most successful have been floating lines with long leaders or intermediate lines seeking deeper water with large nymph[damsel/ls hares ear or PTN] or lure patterns[cats whisker/montana].
Plenty of rainbows from 21/2 to 3lb showing giving excellent sport in the cold crystal clear water.
Prospects for the coming week should be better now that some milder weather returning.
Water clarity is excellent with no weed problems.

        Best Patterns:Damsel Nymph,LS Hares Ear[red rib]PTN[UV],Cats Whisker,Montana,Green&White Lure,Viva,Black Buzzer[small].
Best Areas:Boat-Deeps,Willow Bay,Middle of the Lake.
        :Bank-Lodge Frontage/Platforms,Deeps,Willow Bay,Sandbank.
