week 17/9/12 to 23/9/12
Plenty of fish being caught this week as the cooler conditions continue with rainbows from 2lb to 4lb common in the limit bags.Bank and boat fishing equal with catches and all bank swims weed free.Sport has been excellent with the exceptional quality of the rainbows still being stocked on a regular basis.
Best catches this week from the bank has been Mr Egersdoff who caught 8 rainbows on a black goldhead nymph on a catch and release ticket and the boat Mr Max and Mr Hartop who caught 18 rainbows with most being returned safely to the water.
On the warmer days still plenty of sedges hatching in the mornings and evenings bringing the fish up in the water.Floating lines with traditional wet flies scoring well such as silver invicta,invicta,winged hares ear,PTN,diawl bach,being the most successful.
Prospects for the coming weeks excellent from bank and boat.
On the better days the average catch has now increased to 4nr fish per angler.
