Jason Spolton of Kettering Rainbow 4lb 12oz-Bloodworm Pattern
The variable weather conditions this week meant that the latter part of the week faired better when the cloud cover and a ripple appeared consistently throughout the day.
Boat fishing again dominated and the best catches achieved were from Mr Spolton and Mr Head of Kettering who caught 12 rainbows to 4lb 12oz mainly on bloodworm patterns.Mr Grimston and Mr Burnett of Spalding also had an exciting day when they bagged 12 rainbows to 21/2/3lb in the boat on daddy patterns fished on the surface in Willow Bay.Barry Hall of Wellingborough also caught on daddy patterns in the deeps and had 6 rainbows to 21/2lb.
Hatches of buzzers,sedges,caddis,damsels now in abundance with daddylonglegs also starting to appear.
Weekly stocking continuing and increasing.
43 anglers caught 67 rainbows and 1 brown with 11 rainbows returned safely.
