        Ringstead Grange Report

        Sept 13th – 25th

        74 anglers caught 206 fish of which 55 were returned

        Best Fish
        5lb 8oz Bob McWilliams, black hopper

        Best Areas
        Bank – lodge bank platforms, deeps
        Boat – anchored off lodge bank, deeps

        Best Patterns
        daddies, hoppers, suspender buzzer, black buzzer, black or orange lures.

        On calmer days there are plenty of fish rising but the cool North winds have soon put the fish down.

        Ringstead Grange

        Aug 30th – Sept 12th

        90 anglers caught 295 fish of which 123 were returned

        Best Fish

        Rainbow 10lb 12oz Gwyn Jones, Wing, diawl bach (please find attached photo below)

        Best Areas

        Bank – lodge bank, caravan or sand bank

        Boat – deeps, sand bank, in front of lodge

        Best Patterns

        black or hares ear suspender buzzer, daddies, black hopper, damsel, black lure.

        Good buzzer hatches throughout the day now although early mornings have been most productive.

        August 16th – 29th

        64 anglers caught 141 fish of which 67 were returned

        Best Fish
        Rainbow 5lb 2oz Jason Spolton, Kettering, damsel nymph

        Best Areas
        Bank – lodge platforms, deeps
        Boat – sandbank, deeps

        Best Patterns
        daddies, hoppers, suspender buzzer, damsel, black/green fritz

        Fish are still high in the water with good rises early morning and late evening

        August 2nd – 15th

        68 anglers caught 220 fish of which 89 were returned

        Best Areas
        Bank – lodge bank platforms
        Boat – in front of lodge, off sand bank

        Best Patterns
        diawl bach, daddies, suspender buzzer, black/green fritz, orange blob

        No big specimens but plenty of fish between 2-3lb being taken.

        Fish rising all over the lake.
