Another successful week at Ringstead Grange with on going improvements around the lake.

Bales of barley straw have been placed around the lake to combat any algae thanks to Jim Foster, also we have cut a large channel through the centre of the lake to help get the boats through to the deeper areas of the lake which has opened up bomb holes in the weed. This is now producing some wonderful trout being caught.

Best catches of the week are:
Adam Bundy (Higham Ferrers) caught a 4 pounder plus 4 @ 3 half a piece.
Nigel Cheatham (Oundle) 3 brace at 3 lbs each (twelve in total)
Darren Mcaine (Cambridge) caught his limit of good quality fish
David Hard (Weedon) caught 4 at 3 pounds a piece
Pete (Ringstead ‘s bailiff) a beautiful brownie weighing 6lbs 11 ozes caught on a black and pink fritz (photo attached)

Boat hotspots: The deeps and caravan corner
Best flies – Bloodworm and black and blue buzzers.

Bank hotspots: lodge front and caravan corner
Best flies – damsels ,black and green fritz and bloodworm .

Stocking will take place this Monday/Tuesday with good quality trout
Weed cutting and lifting is on going, much improved on last year.
We welcome all old and new anglers with facilities for disabled customers.
