Well winter is fully in bloom and the conditions have been extremely difficult this week, but our loyal anglers have braved the weather to fish the lake.

The water temperature is 4 degrees and intermediate lines are still highly recommend.

Best catches this week go to:

Reg Belham (Northampton) who caught 2 fish both at 2.5lbs a piece
Keith Middleton (Newport Pagnell) caught 2 fish at 2.5lbs a piece
Nigel Cheetham (Oundle) caught 9 fish between 2.5 and 3.5 pounds, including a double hook up (Photo Attached)
Gene Robinson (Raunds) caught 8 fish around 2.5 to 3 pounds a piece
Steve Quarterly (London) caught 2 fish, both at 2 pounds

        Best Areas:
Boat – Front Lodge, Willow Bay, Addington Road and The Deeps
Banks – Addington Road, New Jetty’s, Willow Bay, Front Lodge and The Deeps

        Best Flies:
Boats – Green and Blacks in Various Patterns, Orange Blobs and Damsels
Bank – Green and Blacks in Various Patterns, Orange Blobs, Damsels and Red Diawl Bach

From Monday 11th December, gates at the lake will open at 8am due to the sunrise being later.

This Saturday’s Friendly Match (16th December) is still going ahead. Please be at the lodge for 8am if you would like to participate.
