Leicester Fly Fishers enjoyed their annual event and barbecue at Ringstead Grange with nearly all catching their limits. They reported that it was the best day ever.
Another good week with good catches including Gezz Robinson from Cape Town, South Africa who with his fishing partner Bob Symes from Geddington had a great day catching their limits with the largest fish weighing in at 5 3/4 lbs.
Alan Brookin from Leicester Fly Fishers had 4 fish for 12 lbs.
Chad Becker from Walford age 14 (Photo attached) had 4 fish for 12lbs.
John Gumby from Leicester Fly Fishers had 4 fish for 9 3/4 lbs.
Bob Kincher from Brighton had 4 fish also for 12 lbs.
Best flies:
Hares Ear, Orange Blob, Daddy Long Legs, White Cheek buzzer and Gold Head Damsel.
Best Areas:
Addington Road, Sand Bank & Deeps.
Stocking will take place this week.
The tagged fish has still to be caught!
More junior anglers are coming to Ringstead & we plan to hold an event for under 16’s in the School Summer holidays. Date to be arranged.
