Best Fish this Week-Mr Green of Towcester Rainbow 5lb 0oz
There have been some significant hatches of damsels towards the latter part of the week with a few late mayflies putting in an appearance.This has created some good sport for anglers and this has resulted in many good catches although the larger fish have been elusive .Fish catches on the good days has been around 4 fish and with plenty from 3-4lb.
Tactics have changed to floating lines with long leaders with Damsel Nymphs/Diawl Bachs and slow retrieve accounting for the best catches.
Boat and bank anglers accounting for equal amount of fish although the boats now finding fish in all areas.
Weekly Stocking continuing with some fine fish approaching 3lb.
Prospects remain very good as the fine weather settles in and which will encourage the fish up in the water.
Best Patterns:Damsel Nymph,Fritz Damsel,GRHE,Diawl Bachs,PTN[UV],Hoppers.
Best Areas:Boat-all areas.
