        Ringstead Grange May 22nd – 30th

        60 anglers caught 183 fish of which 91 were returned

        Best Fish
        10lb 12oz Pete Welcher, March, red head damsel
        7lb 4oz John Scott, Corby, black/green fritz

        Best Areas
        Bank – the deeps, lodge bank platforms
        Boat – sandbank to the lodge

        Damsels and buzzers hatching in large numbers with fish moving all over the lake. Floating line with nymphs the best method during the day with dries working well in the evening.

        damsel, grhe, black buzzer, black hopper

        Ringstead Grange May 10th – 16th

        74 anglers caught 235 fish of which 77 were returned

        8lb 6oz Phil Robinson, Raunds, black buzzer, boat
        5lb 8oz John Rose, Leicester, buzzer, boat

        Best Areas
        Bank – lodge bank platforms, caravan bank, deeps
        Boat – between sandbank and lodge, fallen willow

        Best Patterns
        buzzers, hares ear, black hoppers, greenwells

        Buzzers, olives and hawthorn are keeping the fish active on the surface. The first damsels of the season have also started to hatch.

        Ringstead Grange April 18th – 24th

        71 anglers caught 195 fish of which 59 were returned

        Rainbow 9lb 8oz James Day, Raunds, black buzzer

        Best Areas
        Bank – lodge bank platforms
        Boat – Fish being taken from all areas

        Best Patterns
        black or brown buzzers, hares ear, small emergers.

        Good hatches of buzzers and pond olives has seen fish rising all over the lake.

        Ringstead Trout Fishery Report April 5th – 11th

        75 anglers caught 345 fish of which 170 were returned.

        6lb 4oz P. Witty, Northampton, damsel
        5lb 0oz Sean Coles, Woodford

        Best Areas
        Bank – lodge bank, Addington road
        Boat – Addington road, lodge frontage

        Best Patterns
        black buzzer, damsel, hares ear

        Good hatches of medium and large buzzers. Fish have been rising to the adults on calmer days.

        46 anglers caught 215 fish of which 124 were returned

        Bank – lodge bank, mounds, Addington road
        Boat – anchored off railway bridge, mill corner, Addington road

        Best Patterns
        black/green fritz, goldhead hares ear, olive buzzer

        Good buzzer hatches now and fish rising on calmer days/eves.

        March 22nd – 28th

        62 anglers caught 138 fish of which 50 were returned

        12lb 6oz Nick Keller, Kettering, olive buzzer
        12lb 1oz Roy Barker, Luton, damsel, boat

        Best areas:
        Bank – lodge bank or mounds
        Boat – mill corner, addington road

        Best patterns:
        olive buzzer, damsel, olive fritz, white/green fritz

        Best methods:
        indicator fishing buzzers 5 foot down
        intermediate with white/green lures
