        Hi All

Best Fish This Week-John Thelwell Stanwick Rainbow 7lb 0oz Black Buzzer[red holo cheeks]-SEE PICTURE 003

Barry Hall Wellingborough Rainbow 4lb 8oz GH Black Buzzer SEE PICTURE 006

Despite the fine weather this week some days have proved difficult in the bright sunshine. However fishing picked up slightly at the weekend with the return of cloud cover. Some good fish caught on mainly black buzzer patterns as the fly life returned and as temperatures started to rise.Pick of the anglers this week was John Thelwell in the boat with 6 rainbows and 3 browns with the best a magnificent quality specimen rainbow of 7lbs exactly all caught mainly on a size 12 black buzzer with red holo cheeks. Nick Wright from Northampton and Barry Hall from Wellingborough also from the boat caught specimen rainbows on a similar method.Floating lines with long leaders or under the indicator seems to be the successful method. Most fish are still deep in the water.Bank and boat fishing now similarly successful as the fish start to move around the lake and season ticket holder Gene Robinson from Raunds most successful bank angler taking 12 rainbows from the lawn area in caravan bay again on black buzzer pattern under the indicator.
