C’mon lads? I know I’m now in the land of the norvern munkees but let’s have the opinions/tips.

I’ll start……. really good word for Keltus in the last on Tuesday.

        Now the serious stuff……

RIP DH. Met him a few times in my teens (Coarse Fisherman even published a couple of my letters in that era), most memorably when thanks to Ken and Clive he blagged his way into the CH i.e. BAA team which won the Thames Champs in late 70’s. I hope no one forgets he was actually quite a tidy angler in his own right and the balloon story from the world champs is worth a book in it’s own right. Ask Keith E..

Looking to turn over the Mullins favourites on the first day and hoping Henderson/Geraghty have a bit of a purple patch.

L’ami Sarge and Josses Hill in the first two I think.

Booked the week off, Trent am racing pm, food and drink in the evenings!

Mullins 4 timer for me , no value I know but exceptional favourites ! The nature of Cheltenham and the standard of racing means this is unlikely but im wedging on anyway .

Just about picked myself up off the floor from Annie Power,s disaster at the last fence , a few bob was waved goodbye there ! Plus side well up on the day 😉

That’s alright then Dodge, I’m ahead on the day too thanks to a decent E/W on The Druid’s Nephew.

Thought Champion Hurdle was a muddling race and couldn’t believe the others let Walsh dictate the pace like that.

Yes tactically front runners rarely succeed at Cheltenham due to the nature of the course but I think Douvan and Un De Sceaux were just different class today . Mullins is very cute and when he was quoted Douvan was probably the best race horse he has trained recently you have to take notice , 2/1 was a good price . Faugheen had a straightforward race on paper with question marks over The New Ones health and form but he won like a true superstar champion and again 11/10 was a good price imho . As for Annie Power ……… that’s horse racing !

Noises for Kings Palace in the RSA tomorrow 😉

I’ll take a look, thanks, although it all seems wide open.

Just hope Sprinter Sacre has a good day and comes back safe.

I will be backing Sprinter Sacre , if it is 85 % of its former self 3/1 is a huge price .

                            I was thinking the same.

Arabian Revolution looks value at 10s in the juvenile hurdle, his forms pretty solid through Beltor.

Sprinter Sacre (Geraghty has been very bullish at Irish previews)

Changed my mind about Sprinter Sacre this morning now going with Champagne Fever . Windsor Park in the opener and King,s Palace in the RSA. Supasundae,s stats look very interesting in the bumper aswell.

Could have been a real bloodbath but fortunately years of experience and a bit of common sense kept it merely in the realms of sh*te………….. but as Scarlett said in Gone With the Wind, “Tomorrow is another day”. 😉

Who would of ever thought The Package with blinkers and a crack amateur would become The Redeemer…… bloody thing has cost me and plenty of others a fortune at the Festival over the years, this year we’ve been singing in the pub toasting The Package….. Good night out………. 😉
