        hi guys i am new to this forum,
        i would like to know if any of you have fished the river nene at oundle recently?

        we are thinking of trying it this friday
        but not sure of the conditions on the river,
        any tips or help would be most appreciated.

          I don’t think the river will be any good after the rain we’ve had the last couple of day.

            jedd , most rivers are pushing at the moment,try to find some slack water down the edge, and give it a go. lob worm or bread on a light ledger should find the fish.

              Hi Mate,
              By Friday it could well be in good trim, the big problem is the frosts.
              The water is still not far off freezing.
              If it has flow and colour you could catch on the main river but you could have a better chance of a reasonable days sport on one of the backwaters, the Barnwell one spring to mind on the last few pegs close to the lock.
              E-mail me on [email protected] tomorrow and I will find out just what state the river is in at Oundle.
