I am going camping at Westbrook Park, Little Hereford.SY8 4AU.

It has fishing on the river Teme adjacent to the site. Has anyone fished around here or can give me any info on the fishing on this stretch of the river … Looks nice on Google Maps !!!

        Cheers

        Paul

I have just spoken to a mate of mine who fishes the Teme . He knew of the campsite but not the fishing because his neighbour has a caravan there. The campsite owner claims there are chub, grayling and barbel. He said there are also some nice day ticket stretches locally, controlled by BAA ,Tickets in advance from Allens tackle in Worcester.
            Good luck.

There’s a tackle shop, Dave’s, in Leominster but the best is at Docklow Pools. It doesn’t sell day tickets for the Teme though.
Why not have a ride to Woody’s in Hereford? He’ll sell you a day ticket for the Wye and put you on the fish if you ask him.

My mom and dad have a caravan on the Teme just outside Tenbury Wells, opposite The Peacock Inn. Not fished it this season yet, but there are loads of chub, barble and small grayling. Have even caught a few bream!!!
I think it could be a lot further upstream than you are but i’d say that barble are your main target.
Most people fish straight lead with meat over a bed of hemp and caster, but I’ve had some fantastic results fishing hair rigged hallibut pellets over a bed a smaller pellets. If you can, pre bait a few swims the night before, (or early afternoon, then fish the evening) and try each one.
The barble average 4 to 5lb………but I’ve had them to 9lb and lost some right good uns….lol.

Oh I’ll be long gone then mate.

If you like English wine (I do too much!)have a look at some of the vineyards roundabout.

We usually stop off at Coddington, Three Choirs and Broadfield Court to stock up. With a trip to the Hop Pocket in Bromyard to pick up stuff from places we don’t get to visit.

Enjoy yourself, hope the rain keeps off.

If you get chance have a look at the River Lugg in Hereford where the flood meadows are. I’ve walked it a few times, never fished it but I’ve seen some lovely barbel and chub in amongst the streamer weed. Never seen anybody fishing it but I can’t say if it’s private or day ticket because I’ve not seen any notices either.
