Angling Trust RiverFest qualifier – River Don (Sprotborough)
The Angling Trust RiverFest qualifier on the River Don at Sprotborough was held on Saturday 29th August with 57 competitors taking part. Unfortunately the qualifier fished very difficult on the day.
Top 4 individuals
1st Peg B7 Phil Stevenson 9lb 7oz – roach & perch whip/pole mag over hemp
2nd Peg B19 Kev Weighell 9lb 3oz
3rd Peg A19 Colin Beech 9lb 1oz
4th Peg C1 Brian Rigby 9lb – 2 skimmers plus perch on pole/worm.
The three qualifiers going through to the final in November are;
Phil Stevenson. Colin Beech and Brian Rigby.
The next RiverFest qualifier is on the River Severn, Bewdley on Saturday 5th September, with the Great Ouse at Littleport hosting a qualifier on Sunday 6th September.
