Rod advice needed

I need a couple of rods and reels to fish from the beach at the top end of the Med Fethiye Southern Turkey to be exact.

watching the locals they use beachcasters not to disimilar to those I have seen used over here, the fish I seen caught are manily sea bream around the kilo mark and they are fishing out around the 50 metres mark sometimes further.

Not having done any sea fishing what so ever I dont have much of a clue what im looking for, I was thinking of a couple of old carp rods I have but I doubt they will last the duration.

Any tips and advice would be greatly received
