I have a match rod in need of repair as the male spigot at the top of the middle section has broken off in a fairly clean break.

Can anybody please advise me of someone who might be able to do a repair, it must be a bit more fiddly than sleeving a pole section but otherwise the rod is destined for the bin !

        Cheers, Dave

Try Esselle. He may know of someone if he can’t do it himself.
I’m sure a rod builder uses this forum.
          Alternatively try googling rod repairs.
          regards Peter

I Do the rod repairs for a local shop but normally if a spigot is snapped I don’t bother because you can’t garantee the repair, i’ll only do re-whipping or some handle replacement’s. I don’t know of anybody who will garantee a rod repair in the midlands but you can try fosters of birmingham because they have a bloke in there who deals with rods

Dave, Kevin at Carbo pro in Feltham should be able to help as he is/was a very good rod builder prior to getting into pole repairs big time
