Fishery form for Rutland Water and Grafham, Week ending 22 November 2009
Rutland Water
The best action has been off the south shore between East Creek down through to Normanton. Fry patterns and nymphs have been working. A season ticket holder from Cottesmore had a day to remember. Ian had three Rainbows, but also had two out of season browns one estimated around the 10lb mark. Ian said it was a superb fish and was frustrated that he had no camera to record the specimen.
Forthcoming events – Huge reductions in our Tackle Sale 14-29 November
Fur and Feather (bank) 6 December
Boats will remain on the water throughout November. Please note that November boats go out on the water at 9am. Please check availability before starting your journey.
Pike fishing 12 October to 29 November
Boat fishing with lures and dead sea fish over 18cm (excluding lamprey)
Grafham Water
Bank anglers are enjoying some very good fishing with plenty of trout between the Harbour and Sailing Club, Gaynes Cove and Plummers. Best methods are floating line and buglers, daddy long legs or diawl bachs.
A group of Scottish anglers visiting Anglian Water reservoirs had a good day at Grafham Water catching fish whilst anchored just out of the Harbour.
