In spite of the cold east wind, Lake Two at Dynamite Baits Makins provided sport all from all areas to all methods for the Wednesday KOBRA Open, as well as a tight result.
On peg A20 local angler Shane Sayer (Sensas) took 30 carp for 166 lb 14 oz on pellet waggler to win on his first visit to the lake this year, just edging out Preston Innovations ace and venue expert Andy Findlay (peg A4) who fished pole (10m) with pellet at depth to also take 30 carp for his 165 lb 8 oz.

Third placed Wendell Ward (Best Baits) would also have been ‘in the mix’ had it not been for several lost big fish, although his waggler at depth tactic fished at 20m put 27 carp on the scales for 137 lb 6 oz from peg B17.

Report:
Reptile dominated individual results in the Thursday KOBRA Open at Dynamite Baits Makins fished over Snake and Reptile.
Leicester angler Chris Horsley (Swan Baits) fished corn along the margins on Reptile peg 4 to land 99 lb 2 oz of mainly big carp, pole and corn being the successful combination.
Andy Findlay (Preston Innovations) on Reptile 16 had to be content with second place for the second successive day with a feeder caught 83 lb 8 oz, pushing Gaz Wood (Browning Central) into third place, 77 lb 10 oz from Reptile 18.
Top weight from the Snake ( 5th overall) was John Adamson (Kobra Feeders) with 42 lb 8 oz from peg 7, all taken on meat.
Thursday Kobra Open on 20th May will be on Thames & Inner Avon (Phase 3).
