hi lads, does anyone fish with the 774, im looking for a pole to replace my spectron, i dont fish for carp,just canals ands rivers,
any thoughts on the above pole, thanks

Daveboy I have a 774 mate and I can’t fault it. The majority of my fishing is done on commercials but I have used it a fair bit on canals too. I know pole choice is personal preference but I would say go for it you will not be dissapointed.

I agree with everything dazaster1 says. Best pole I have ever had. Great package too plus the all important Joker card.

top pole dave i’m not sure but if you use the seach option and put sensas 774 there are a lot of write ups about them on the site

davey,i had the spectron and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread……till i picked up the 774.slightly heavier but thats offset by the stiffness.managed to fish the whole 5 hours sunday at 16m and at times there was a stiff breeze.supplied with a brilliant amount of kits and if you do need anymore there not overpriced.ta.andy.

fished with my 774 at 17.5 metres on the paste on a few occasions if that gives you any idea of stiffness cant fault mine money well spent the only thing i will say is if you dont fish for lumps see if you can get rid of the red top kits not sure if they still come in the package though has mine is a few years old now regards martin

Have a look at the 764 river pole less expensive and comes with 11 top kits this pole was tested on the river ebro in spain, there didn’t seem much difference between the two poles to me apart from the price

ILF – thats the one I was advocating to you – you likey? Seemed excellent value to me – 774 better at 16m but how often do you fish that long (on the pole not the bomb! lol!)
