The Sensas Black Country Team, made up of D Whittington, M Hardiman, R Chambers, S Nickless and B Wilkes, stormed to victory in Sunday’s Match Fishing Team Championship qualifier, with a 58 Point score. Drennan Leicester Sensas were just two points behind, with their team consisting of G Smith, R Marlow, A Stephens, S Hurse and N Moss.
Taking the third and final qualifying spot for the August Bank Holiday weekend were Drennan Oxford. Their team comprised of P Glenfield, M Herbert, K Elland, D Harpin and S Townsend.
In the individual stakes, there was a tie for first place between Paul Glenfield of Drennan Oxford and Gary Smith of Drennan Leicester Sensas on pegs one and two respectively. Paul caught bleak and chublets on a waggler, while Gary singled out some quality roach on hempseed.
With this being the last of the qualifying matches, the line up for the star studded Match Fishing Team Championship, taking place on August Bank Holiday Monday, is now complete.
