Phil is certainly doing something right at the moment with back to back Sunday wins, drawn at peg 17 he fished the long pole and pellet for an unseasonal 122lb 9oz of carp – 8lb. 2nd placed Lee Parker fished the pole and pellet out at 14m loose feeding 4mm pellets over his float to keep the carp interested landing 27 fish – 7lb.

Andy Lakey is moving onto peg 39, he seems to spend more time on this peg than he does at home, but again coming out on top, fishing a small pellet feeder cast to the island he landed 21 carp – 8lb + 5lb of roach on the pole and maggot for a winning weight of 77lb 3oz. In second place Mick fished the pole and pellet out at 14m for 15 carp – 8lb and 5 skimmers and putting 59lb 12oz on the scales.
