schrader6062Hi,
I’m new to both this site and Shetland. I was wondering if anybody here had fished from the shore in Shetland? If so where and what tackle did they use? I’ve tried some spinning, but apart from a few coalies the size of anchovies and more seaweed than any man deserves to catch i’ve drawn a blank. Please help -

It has been more than 48 hours and the link above haven’t been deleted? Double standards? Favoritism?
I have witnessed at least 3 links which have been deleted recently and the reason given by one of the mod was ‘site doesn’t not belong to poster’. I’ve also noticed that there is a moderator on this forum, who is now ‘contributing’ actively is a regional mod on the forum posted above?
May be the above mentioned forum belongs to the poster or there’s some favoritism going on?
In all fairness an explanation from the admin would be welcome!

Seeing as I have only been browsing through, things do get past me believe it or not………
I will remove the links, and in future,if you want to put links over to folk, please PM them with it….
Just because I mod on that site, doesn’t mean I show favouritism…….
Rules are rules, regardless of who owns what….

blindogParticipantSorry for posting a link didnt see any harm in trying to help a fellow angler out ~naughty ,not likely to be a lot of info on fishing Shetland on any forum i would think so realy see no cause for concern in pointing him in that direction but hey looks like i’m wrong again,i thought the idea of these forums were to share information and generaly help out fellow anglers,i have seen just about every forum mentioned on A/N and WSF over the years and no body gets there lines tangled about it.But if thats yer rules SORRY.

schrader6062Hi guys, cheers for trying to help out, unfortunately still have not found any decent places to go, but apparently i don’t need to actually fish to catch fish. can just walk down the beach to pick them up after last storm threw them on the shore including a good looking conger and norwegian haddock. but would still rather use my rod.
