I recently bought two 11.6 rellet rods on line only to have the wrong rods sent and ending up with the 9-11 version.

Is there much of a difference. I want them for fishing up to 40m in summer for WILD Irish Carp to 4kg. The majority of these fish are in the 1-3kg range and fight like dogs. These fish are wild and act accordingly.

Should i be sending the rods back and looking for the ones i ordered.

        Carpmagic what do you think.

I bought one of the Shimano 9/11ft pellet wag rods, firt time I use it I had 9 fish for 109lb. All these fish were caught at about 30-40 yards

It handled these fish well, I was that impressed with the rod I bought another

You need to do whats best for you as you’ve more of an idea of the waters you are likely to fish

If the same thing had happened to me here, having used them I would keep them

Hi mate, the 11′ version of the 9-11 is a bit crisper actioned than the 11’6. I have used the 9-11 at Earlswood where the fish average 10lb with no problems at all. Its really up to you and whether you are happy with them.
