Short 4’s

Bit of a basic question, just wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of short 4’s are before I think about splashing some cash on some for my Sensas,

I like them they stiffen up your pole you will hit more bites using a short4 as opposed to a long no 4 there stronger I sometimes land carp with a top kit and a short 4 there strong enough.Disadvantage is when your fishing long pole you will compromise length by fishing a short 4 thus having to add a big section to get the required length.

I only use short 4’s these days.

The difference is MASSIVE, especially fishing long.

The downside is you lose a bit of length, but just put an extra section on to compensate.
