When fishing pellet on the deck, do you always use a telltail shot i.e and no. 10 above the hooklength?..what is the smallest tell tail shot you would use with a 4mm pellet?.

Also would you use say 4 no.9 in a bulk and 1 no.10 as the dropper?.

Depends on the rig, for finesse its probably a good idea to fish very small droppers but for proper carp I don’t see the point, unless its winter fishing. If I have to fish fine I prefer styl weights anyway.

was thinking of F1’s on pellet in winter or summer

i use a 12 dropper just to set the bristle if u lay your rig in right and feed it right u tend not to have any problems wiv false bites or liners, soon as u lower it the final couple of inches its usually clunk fish on 🙂

Can you tell us more please mate.?
How do you feed for the F1’S to avoid line bites/too many in your peg?
A brief rough guide would be great.
Also when they are up and cruising shallow do you keep the hookbait moving/dropping through or suspend the bait and feed over the top etc.
                Thanks

what i was shown was simple really mate. Fishing shallow keep 6-8 4mm’s going in every 30 secs and keep laying your rig in. once its reached its end left and try again.
Feeding..dont feed micros loose, either in a ball or a pinch if fishing on a slope.
