Micky, first off it will be very peggy. Different methods work so you really have to judge when you get to your peg and look at the weather. The venue doesn’t really take off until it warms up a bit. The method feeder is normally a good starting gambit, pellet waggler can be a winning method if they’ll come up and a pole line can be productive as can a margin line [on the right day]. Pellet, corn or maggot all work but don’t feed too heavy at the start ie fish for your bites then feed accordingly. Although there’s a good head of Carp in there it isn’t a commercial so you need to ease your way in with many matches being won there in the last hour. Finally the whole lake is sectioned off with ropes to annoy the Cormorants so you have to be a bit careful with your casting but each peg has plenty of space.
Make sure you’re early as you’ll probably get a free bacon roll and a cup of tea before the draw – very civilised !!! Accurate timekeeping isn’t the best though so if it’s an 8am draw it could happen anytime from 7.45 to 8.30 LOL.
