        The Skate Recapture weekend

        SSACN are holding their third Common skate recapture weekend on 11th 12th and 13th April. The Skate Recapture Event evolved from the Common Skate Tagathon which was established specifically to gather data on the inaptly named common skate. The event is run over quite a wide area, mainly centred around Crinan and Oban where it is believed that the skate populations are largely resident.
