one of my local venues is a place where skimmers between 6oz and 3 lb dominate the matches ( with the odd rogue carp that ruins everybody elses hard work!!! ) the depyh varies from 6ft to 17ft and for the deep skimmer fishing i use a 1.5gm float with an olivette 18 inches from the hook with two no10 droppers, .12 mainline to .10 hooklength with an 18 b911 hook, this is used with soft no8 preston elastic, i find a soft strike and keeping the pole low and shipping back steadily is fine, at what point are they coming off geepster?
