I’ve got the 12ft pro model mate and had carp to 10lb on pellet wag with no problem so the 13ft should be ok i know will raison uses them i know he’s sponsored by them but he doe’s catch more than his fair share with them good enough for me

I’ve got the 13′ tournament and had some lumps (including a couple of mental ghosties)on it at w/acres fishing the pellet wag.

I’ve got the 12′ tournament and its brilliant for commercials, dont see why you need the 13′.

Depends on the size of fish he’s catching, and venues he visits. If it’s mostly snake lake commercials, he’d be better with an 11ft rod I would have though. If it’s places like boddingtons, then the power or even extra power as the fish are huge.

Also a bit dependant on time of year and methods fished. I would have though an 11 or 12ft rod better for pellet wag, 13ft only if fishing std waggler and that’s more in the winter months when the fish are more lethargic, and therefore no need for a power waggler.

If he fishes rivers from time to time too, might be worth looking into either the spectron or tourney 13-15ft rods for the best of both worlds, given they’re not that much more expensive.

If it doesn’t have to be either of these rods, given the relative expense of them, could go for the best of both worlds and buy a pair of rods from the super g, or shakey mach 3 ranges, as both are superb.
