My family and myself have been invited to stay with some Norwegean friends for a week or two next summer. Since we’re taking the car on the ferry, I’ll have a bit of room for some tackle, and transport once we’re there. Does anyone know anything about the fishing around Stavanger, or know where I can find out? We’ll be there late July/early August. There’s plenty of stuff on the internet about the fishing in the North of the country, but I can’t find much on the area around Stavanger, particularly from the shore. I don’t need to catch monster fish, and I won’t be travelling huge distances to fishing hotspots, but I’d like to think that with the right information, it should be possible to catch some decent fish whilst we’re there.
